Job summary

Kansas State University Extension is seeking an Extension Agent to serve Kearny County, KS. The role involves leading community programming, supervision of staff and volunteers, and collaboration with local boards to deliver research-based education.

The agent will work on-site in Lakin and county-wide, develop partnerships, and pursue external funding while aligning with K-State's strategic plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 12 credit hours or 6 months of related experience.
• GPA 2.75/4.0 or evidence of progressively responsible roles.
• Experience delivering information to groups or individuals.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with local staff, boards and others to lead budgeting, fundraising, audits and reporting.
• Provide leadership for 4-H youth programs with volunteers and partners.
• Develop, implement and evaluate educational programming to strengthen community outcomes.
• Recruit and manage volunteers and engage diverse community audiences.
