Job summary

K-State Extension seeks an Extension Agent to serve Decatur County, KS. This on‑site role partners with local staff and boards to deliver research-based programming in agriculture, health, youth development, and community vitality.

Responsibilities include leading multi‑year programming, coordinating 4‑H activities, expanding partnerships, and pursuing external funding while supporting county residents with accessible education and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 12 credit hours or six months related experience.
• Experience delivering information or education to groups, in person or via media.
• Leadership experience in supervisory or informal roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation and evaluation of community education programming.
• Collaborate with staff, board members and partners to plan and manage budgets and resources.
• Coordinate 4‑H youth development programs and engage volunteers.
