Job summary

Washington State University in Olympia, WA seeks an Extension Coordinator for the Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery Prevention Fellow. You will collaborate with WSU researchers, DBHR staff, and community coalitions to prevent substance use disorders and promote mental health, with day-to-day supervision by WSU and the HCA DBHR Prevention Section.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline required; equivalent education/experience considered.
• Two years of related program experience or combination of education and experience accepted.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel in daily work.

Responsibilities

• Develop educational programs and provide technical assistance to communities and coalitions.
• Support contracts and statewide initiatives in collaboration with WSU and DBHR staff.
• Prepare and deliver presentations, trainings, and conference materials to advance prevention efforts.
• Collaborate with researchers and community members to promote SUD prevention and mental health initiatives.
