Tennessee State University invites applicants for the Extension Agent-4-H Agriculture and Natural Resources position serving Loudon County. The role is 75% 4-H Youth Development and 25% adult Agriculture and Natural Resources, responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, and reporting programs countywide.

The agent will work with UT and TSU Extension personnel, deliver programs through clubs, workshops, events, and media, and build strong public relations with schools, agencies, sponsors,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, education, or closely related field required.
• Experience in Extension or youth development preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including some nights, weekends, and overnight travel.
• Access to a personal vehicle and a valid Tennessee driver’s license required.
• Strong skills in program planning, implementation, and evaluation and in communicating impacts.

Responsabilités

• Plan, implement, evaluate, and report county 4-H Youth Development programs.
• Plan and evaluate adult Agriculture and Natural Resources programs.
• Organize clubs, workshops, camps, conferences, and special classes.
• Recruit volunteers, coordinate site/home visits, newsletters, and media.
• Build and maintain public relations with officials, agencies, sponsors and partners.
