Job summary

The School District of Springfield Township is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher for a summer program. PA Special Education certification and a Bachelor's and/or Master's in Education are required; autism experience is preferred.

The candidate should be a strong team player, punctual, energetic, parent-friendly, and eager to learn. Program runs 8:45am-12:15pm, July 6–30, Monday through Thursday, with training on June 24–25, 2026.

Qualifications:

Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher preferred.

Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Education required.

PA Special Education certification required.

Previous experience working with students preferred specifically students with autism.

Willingness to support children in self care such as, dressing, toileting and eating.

Physical stamina to participate in all activities including education, preparation of activities and material.

Must be available to work the 5 week program and available for training during the last week of June.

Must be a good team player, punctual, energetic, parent friendly and have an eagerness to learn.

ABA training preferred.
