Job summary

Battle Creek Public Schools seeks an Extended Learning Coordinator for Bearcats Beyond The Bell to lead before/after school activities and supervise staff and volunteers. You will ensure compliance with licensing, manage enrollments and attendance, and coordinate with school teams and families to support student achievement.

This 32-week program requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on safety, inclusiveness, and community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Must meet Michigan Child Care Licensing requirements for a program director with education in a child-related field and relevant experience.
• Experience supervising a team and summer programs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee program supplies and purchasing requests.
• Communicate enrollment, attendance, and transportation with caregivers.
• Supervise youth development workers, enrichment providers, volunteers.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure services operate effectively, including transportation and facilities.
• Ensure compliance with Michigan child care licensing regulations.
