Job summary

Orange County Public Schools in Orlando, FL, seeks an energetic Group Leader for the Extended Day Enrichment Program. This hourly, non-benefitted position offers flexible hours up to 29 per week and supervision of students in enrichment activities.

Responsibilities include planning activities, maintaining a neat play area, recording attendance, assisting with snacks, and communicating with the site coordinator, parents and staff to support a safe, engaging environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Communicate with the site coordinator, parents and other staff members.
• Help to maintain positive relationships with school personnel.
• Assist in serving nutritious snacks.
• Records and updates daily group attendance.
• Reports to the site coordinator any significant problems or unusual behavior.

GROUP LEADER - Hourly Position

The group leader is responsible for the supervision of students in the OCPS Extended Day Enrichment Program. The group leader’s hours may be flexibly scheduled to accommodate program needs.

Qualifications

The group leader needs to have the following qualifications ability to direct students in academic enrichment and recreational activities; enthusiasm and stamina; ability to maintain control of the group; interest in a variety of subjects; ability to communicate with students and adults; ability to make each student feel important; ability to take direction from the site coordinator; and willingness to pursue further education.
