Wonders Early Learning + Extended Day in Washington, DC is seeking an Extended Day Program Director to oversee day-to-day operations at one of our Early Learning + Extended Day programs. You will lead staff, ensure developmentally appropriate activities, and maintain strong communications with families and the community.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field preferred.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience.
• Preference will be given to previous experience as a Program Director.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning and implementation of a play-based curriculum.
• Supervise and lead staff to create a meaningful learning environment.
• Ensure best practices are implemented and maintained to promote health and safety of all children and staff.
• Provide program management reports on a regular basis.
• Participate in recruitment activities.
• Oversee enrollment processes, manage program financials, and ensure budget adherence.
