Jobbeschreibung

Overview of Position

The San Francisco School seeks an enthusiastic, dependable, and collaborative educator to join our Extended Day team. Extended Day Instructors support students in Preschool through 8th grade through after-school play, enrichment, activities, and community building.

Under the direction of the Director of Auxiliary Programs, instructors supervise students, facilitate indoor and outdoor activities, support student check-in and dismissal, and help create a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment after the school day.

This part-time position is a great opportunity for someone interested in gaining experience in education, recreation, youth development, or after-school programming.

  • Build positive relationships with students and serve as a supportive mentor and role model.

Schedule & Part-Time Position Expectations

Extended Day Instructors are part-time Auxiliary Programs staff members, with regular work primarily taking place during after-school hours. Additional hours may occasionally be available or required for program needs, including school events, childcare, evening programs, and weekend events.

Because this is a part-time Extended Day position, instructors do not follow the same school meeting schedule as full-time classroom teachers. Extended Day staff participate in meetings, training, and professional development specifically required for their role and program responsibilities.
