Job summary

Ashland Public Schools is seeking an Extended Day Enrichment Teacher for the Warren Breakfast Bunch in Ashland, MA. The role supports student engagement, prepares and serves breakfast, and supervises activities before the school day.

Responsibilities include interacting with students and families, maintaining a clean classroom, and communicating observations to the Head Teacher or Director. Immediate start; schedule includes Thursday and Friday with early start times.

Qualifications

• One year or more of college-level education or related field experience (education, psychology, sociology, etc.).
• CPR/AED/First Aid training or ability to be trained.
• Valid Driver's License.

Job Description

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• The employee must be able to frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and perform activities such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, and running.
• The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move heavy objects.
• The position requires the ability to work effectively in an active environment with frequent distractions and interruptions, including phone calls, parent interactions, walkie-talkie communication, and elevated noise levels.
• The employee must be able to respond promptly and appropriately to emergency situations.
• The employee may be required to work outdoors in weather conditions that are considered safe and appropriate for students.

Requirements:

• One year or more of college-level experience in education or a related field (psychology, sociology, etc.) with supporting experience (summer camp counselor, Girl Scout/Boy Scout leader, etc.).
• CPR/AED/First Aid training or the ability to be trained
• Valid Drivers License

Schedule:

• Thursday and Friday scheduling available
• Start time: 7:00 AM
• End time: start of school
