Non‑Exempt, Part‑Time (Mon‑Fri; 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM) – Academic Year calendar.
Overall Objectives
Supports the Extended Program team in fostering a safe, positive, and nurturing environment that promotes students’ academic achievement, physical health, and emotional well‑being, aligning with Yinghua Academy’s mission, core values, and principles.
Principal Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise students to ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive program environment.
- Follow established protocols and respond appropriately to student health and first‑aid needs.
- Lead students in engaging activities that support social, emotional, and academic development.
- Prepare and serve nutritious snacks in alignment with program guidelines.
- Maintain accurate sign‑in and sign‑out procedures for all participants.
- Clean and organize program spaces and materials at the end of each day.
Program Compliance
- Follow supervisor direction and complete assigned tasks as instructed.
- Adhere to all school policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and required documentation.
- Attend all mandatory safety, health, and compliance trainings.
Communication
- Actively participate in all‑staff/team meetings.
- Communicate expectations for academic performance, classroom behavior, and personal management to students.
- Maintain effective and timely communication within the organization and externally.
- Read all school communication and respond to emails and phone calls promptly.
- Notify supervisor of concerns or issues as they arise.
Professional Conduct
- Uphold professional and ethical standards in all interactions, maintaining confidentiality and respect in all matters, including student‑related information and sensitive organizational topics.
- Model and encourage all behavior outlined by the Board‑approved Professional Conduct Policy.
- Demonstrate reliability and sound judgment.
- Participate in required training and ongoing relevant professional development.

Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Must be able to work Monday‑Friday (5 days per week).
- Prior experience working with students in grades K‑8 preferred.
- Ability to use iPad apps.
- Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese preferred but not required.
- Must meet all employment requirements, including criminal background checks and reference checks.
