Job summary

Yinghua Academy in Minneapolis seeks a School Cafeteria Worker to assist with food prep, serving, and clean-up across breakfast and lunch service. You will help ensure smooth meal service and safe food handling.

Applicants should be able to stand long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and work well in a fast-paced team. Spanish language ability is helpful but not required; prior cafeteria experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and participate in preparation and serving of breakfast and lunch.
• Check and operate all food preparation equipment.
• Organize serving counters and steam tables; serve food to students.
• Operate point of sale during meal service as assigned.
• Place packaged food in coolers/freezers for storage.
• Maintain inventory records of food and supplies.
• Keep preparation area and equipment clean and sanitary.
• Follow safety instructions and use cleaning agents properly.
• Input data and maintain records as required.
• Assist other Food Service positions (e.g., Dishwasher) for coverage when needed.
