Job summary

St. Anne School in Seattle is seeking part-time After School Care Program Aides to supervise children in Pre-K through 4th grade (ages 4–10) after school. Shifts: Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri 3–5 pm and Wed 2–5 pm during the 180-day school year.

Responsibilities include assisting with arrival/dismissal, supporting activity setup/cleanup, promoting positive behavior, providing homework help, and following safety protocols. A background check and a training class are required; First Aid/CPR is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; previous experience with children is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills; able to interact positively with children, parents and staff.
• Must pass a background check and complete a training class for working with children in a school setting.
• First Aid/CPR training preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist with arrival and dismissal of students to ensure a secure transition between school and the after-care program.
• Support the Program Director in the planning, setup and cleanup of activities.
• Promote and maintain positive behavior by reinforcing program rules and expectations fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
• Address minor behavioral issues according to the program's guidelines, reporting any significant concerns to the Program Director.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies or incidents, following established protocols and report any injuries or accidents to the Program Director.
• Provide homework support and general academic student support.

Job Details: Job Location: 1015 St. Anne School, Seattle - Seattle, WA 98119, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: $25.00 - $25.00 Hourly, Hours on Mon/Tues/Thur/Fri from 3 to 5 pm; Wed from 2 to 5 pm from September through June (180 day school schedule - no school holidays).

This role involves direct interaction with children, ensuring their safety and well-being during after school hours. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is looking for part-time work during the school year.
