Job summary

HCA Healthcare Live Oak Mental Health and Wellness is seeking an Activity Therapist PRN with a Bachelor's degree to provide expressive therapy as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will engage patients through art, music, dance, writing, drama or poetry and support the treatment plan.

Responsibilities include completing assessments, leading group and individual sessions, documenting timely, and collaborating with clinicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Art Therapy, Music Therapy, or Recreation Therapy is required.
• Certification MT-BC, ATR-BC, or CTRS may be required at time of hire.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Complete activity therapy assessments.
• Provide group and individual expressive therapy sessions.
• Display professionalism with customers, staff and clinicians.
• Complete assignments in a timely manner.
• Complete documentation in a timely manner.
• Follow all hospital policies and procedures.
• Attend and participate in monthly activity therapy staff meetings.
• Attend and participate in weekly clinical supervision.
• Work with the interdisciplinary team in meeting treatment goals.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Art Therapy, Music Therapy, or Recreation Therapy
