Job summary

Parkridge Valley Child & Adolescent Campus, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an Activity Therapist PRN to join a multidisciplinary team. The role focuses on expressive therapy to help patients develop self-expression through art, movement, poetry, writing, drama or music.

Responsibilities include completing assessments, delivering group and individual sessions, documenting promptly, and participating in meetings and supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Art/Music/Recreation Therapy required.
• MS/BC certifications may be required at hire (MT-BC, ATR-BC or CTRS).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Complete activity therapy assessments.
• Provide group and individual expressive therapy sessions.
• Display professionalism in dealings with customers, staff and clinicians.
• Complete assignments in a timely manner.
• Complete documentation in a timely manner.
• Follow hospital policies and procedures.
• Attend monthly activity therapy staff meetings.
• Attend weekly clinical supervision.
• Work with interdisciplinary team to meet treatment goals.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
