Job summary

Doctors Medical Center of Modesto is seeking an Activity Therapy Assistant to support treatment groups and assist in patient assessments in the Behavioral Health Center. You will work closely with the Activity Therapist to coordinate expressive arts activities that fit the therapeutic milieu.

Per diem position with dayshift responsibilities. Relevant education and a current BLS are required; water-safety certification within 60 days may be needed by Stanislaus County guidelines.

Qualifications

• Effective communication in English, both verbal and written.
• Experience facilitating groups and activities; ability to run therapy-based sessions.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate treatment groups in the Behavioral Health Center.
• Assist in evaluating and assessing patients for expressive arts therapy participation.
• Coordinate activities with the Activity Therapist to fit the therapeutic milieu.
