Job summary

Lorensen Auto Group is seeking Service Technicians from entry level to Master Tech level at our Watertown, CT location. You will work on a collaborative team, diagnosing and repairing vehicles with modern equipment and ongoing training.

The team supports growth through paid training, internal advancement, and a family-owned environment. OSHA-certified shop and modern facility enhance daily work and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; ASE preferred.
• Technical degree or ASE certs are a plus.
• Ability to diagnose and repair vehicles accurately and efficiently.
• Familiarity with electronic diagnostic equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

• Test systems and components for proper operation.
• Isolate root causes of problems and document findings.
• Road test to verify repairs and diagnose residual issues.
• Repair or replace worn parts proactively to prevent breakdowns.
• Use power tools, machines, and hand tools to perform tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Test to check whether systems and components are secure and working properly.
• Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to identify the problem quickly
• Good knowledge of automobiles
• Effective analytical and communication skills
• Good reading, computer, and mathematics skills
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
• Should be able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical degree preferred
• ASE certifications preferred
• Minimum of 1 year in service department
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
• Basic Computer Skills
