Job summary

Heritage Ford of Indiana is seeking a skilled automotive technician to perform routine maintenance, oil changes, tire rotations, and multi-point inspections on a variety of vehicles. You will diagnose issues and test drive to verify repair quality in a fast-paced shop.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and the ability to learn new repair procedures. We offer a signing bonus, medical and dental insurance, a 401k plan, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
• Strong problem identification and reading/computing skills.
• Willingness to learn new repair procedures and use testing equipment.
• Able to work on feet for long periods in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance on vehicles including oil changes and tire rotations.
• Conduct multi-point inspections to identify potential future problems.
• Isolate faulty components and test driving for verification.
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy while performing maintenance.
• Repair or replace worn parts before breakdowns; use power and hand tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform general maintenance on vehicles such as oil changes, tire rotations, filter changes,
• Perform quality multi-point inspections on vehicles
• Isolate components that might cause future problems on vehicles
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy while performing maintenance on vehicles
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle's breakdown or damage
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to identify the problem quickly
• Good knowledge of automobiles
• Effective analytical and communication skills
• Good reading, computer, and mathematics skills
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
• Should be able to operate basic electronic testing equipment
