Job summary

Step One Automotive is seeking an Express/Lube Technician to perform light maintenance such as oil changes, lube work, tire rotation, and fluid checks. The role supports service operations and requires attention to safety and quality standards.

You will document work performed and assist in communicating status to the service team. The position emphasizes learning manufacturer guidelines, maintaining a clean work area, and complying with regulations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret simple instructions, memos and safety rules.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable using basic computer systems for records and service entries.
• Willingness to learn manufacturer procedures and repair standards.
• ASE certifications are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform light maintenance: oil changes, lube, tire rotation and fluid checks.
• Conduct safety inspections and report issues to the service advisor.
• Document work performed and communicate delays or needs.
• Keep work area clean and organized; handle tools responsibly.
• Follow dealership and manufacturer guidelines for service procedures.
