Job summary

Bill Cole Automall of Ashland is seeking a Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance per dealer and factory standards. You will diagnose issues from customer concerns, source parts, and document all repairs.

You will also road test vehicles, participate in training programs, and stay current with technical bulletins to ensure driveability and safety across vehicles in the shop.

Qualifications

• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnoses vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspection.
• Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
• Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Road tests vehicles.
• Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools and events.
• Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
• Inspects and test drives newly delivered vehicles for obvious damage and missing major components and driveability functions.
