Job summary

Ourisman Automotive Group is seeking a skilled Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles to ensure customers receive safe, reliable service. You will perform accurate diagnostics, routine maintenance, and test drives, while keeping detailed records and coordinating with service advisors.

The role requires familiarity with diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and technical manuals, along with strong analytical abilities and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an automotive technician or mechanic is preferred.
• Applicable certifications and technical trainings.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and technical manuals.
• Strong analytical skills to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy parts and standing for extended periods.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate diagnostics on vehicles to identify issues and carry out necessary repairs.
• Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
• Test drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to ensure repairs meet manufacturer standards.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and services recommended.
• Work closely with Service Advisors and other technicians to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
• Occasionally communicate with customers to explain repairs and maintenance needs.
