Job summary

JBS Foods Tolleson is seeking an Export Manager to oversee accuracy and completeness of all foreign export orders, ensuring compliance with international and border specifications.

You will coordinate with scheduling to ensure product is produced and packaged to meet importing country regulations, track export shipments, and manage export paperwork, labels, weights and tares. You may host tours for potential international customers and support QA during audits.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED Equivalent - College experience beneficial.
• Minimum 4-6 years background experience in numerous areas in a packing plant.
• Understanding import/export laws essential.
• Computer & writing skills are important due to the technical nature of the position.
• General knowledge of how plant operates important.
• Strong verbal skills are essential.
• EOE, including disability/vets.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and completeness for all foreign export orders.
• Ensure export documentation complies with foreign and border specifications.
• Ensure product is cut to specification and packaging meets regulations.
• Track location of all exported orders.
• Coordinate with scheduling to ensure production and packaging meet import regs.
• Provide sample products to potential customers abroad.
• Give tours of the plant to international customers.
• Verify transfers to freezers and exports are timely.
• Manage export paperwork, labels, and weigh/tares on exports.
• Job performance measured by Technical Service Manager on claims and documentation accuracy.
• Participate in daily supervisor meetings with export updates.
• Assist QA in training and QA technicians.
• Participate with QA manager on export audits and analyze export claims.

Export Manager

Responsibilities

• Responsible for accuracy and completeness for all foreign export orders. (Not limited to Japan & Korea)
• Make sure all export documentation is up to foreign & border specifications
• Make sure product is cut exactly to specification to e nsure customer satisfaction and proper primal placement in the box, monitor export box integrity
• Keep track of the whereabouts of all exported orders
• Communicate with scheduling to make sure product gets made and that packaging meets the importing countries regulations
• Provide sample products to potential customers aboard
• Give tours of the plant to possible international customers
• Verify product transfers are timely to freezers and to export
• Responsible for all export paperwork and labels. As well as verifying box counts mispacks, weights and tares on all export loads
• Job performance is measured by Technical Service Manager on issues such as customer claims and accuracy of documentation
• Participate in daily supervisor meetings to inform them of various export information when necessary
• Assist in quality assurance department when needed
• Assist in quality assurance training while helping Q.A. Technicians
• Participate with the QA manager on all export audits, drive analysis of export claims
