Job summary

M&S Logistics Ltd. in Houston, USA seeks an Export Operator to coordinate global export shipments and deliver exceptional customer service, building long-term relationships with customers and vendors.

You will work closely with our multi-national team and leverage our in-house systems to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate has prior experience in international transportation or logistics, strong IT and communication skills, and a proactive, team-oriented work ethic.

Job Title:- Export Operator

The purpose of this role is:-

To coordinate activities of export shipments globally byproviding exceptional customer service through focusing on the individual directly or through the support of the team members, promoting long-term customer relationships and customer loyalty.

What you will do:

• Communicating with trucking companies, shipping lines and customers
• Coordinating and scheduling pick-up of bulk liquid products with customers and trucking companies
• Booking tank containers with steamship lines
• Issuing instructions for export/import shipments
• Working closely with overseas offices regarding pending shipments
• Establishing good relationships with customers and vendors
• Updating and maintaining shipment information in our in-house system

What you will bring:

The nature of the role requires the ideal candidate to have previous experience of working in international transportation or the logistics industry and it is desirable but not essential that this experience has been gained in the Tank Container Industry. Good IT, verbal and written skills are essential to the role as well as a high ability tosolve problems and seek alternative solutions combined with excellent follow-up skills. In order to support the company’s values and behaviours, the candidate should be a good team player with aprofessional work ethic, presentation and character.
