Job summary

A.O. Smith is seeking an Export Material Handler in El Paso, TX to coordinate inbound/outbound material with carriers, use SAP and Excel, and ensure compliance with US/Mexican customs. This onsite role demands attention to detail and a proactive approach.

Responsibilities include coordinating flow between El Paso and Juarez, generating KPI reports, and handling export documentation. Bilingual English/Spanish and forklift operation required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in material handling or logistics.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication.
• Strong knowledge of US/Mexican Customs regulations and classification.
• Ability to meet date/time driven deadlines.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Familiar with SAP and Livingston Reports preferred.
• Understanding of import/export process.
• Customer-oriented with sense of urgency and problem resolution.
• Maintain clean, organized work area.
• Must operate squeeze clamp and forklift trucks.

Responsibilities

• Work with carriers to ensure timely planning, pick up, and delivery of all inbound and outbound material.
• Coordinate flow of material between El Paso and Juarez.
• Utilize tools including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, SAP, and Vastera applications to monitor incoming material.
• Ensure compliance with CTPAT regulations. (Dock doors are shut when not in use, only authorized personnel in receiving area, all gates are closed at all times)
• Support Transport Operations by creating and publishing regular key Performance Indicator reports.
• Manage exports by inspecting all incoming material by matching material to the packing slip.
• Report any discrepancies to Juarez buyers.
• Ensure to hand out all Aduanas and Customs paperwork to driver.
• A small amount of travel may be required.
• Some overtime will be required.
• Other duties may be assigned
• Classify MRO, Chemicals and Raw Materials for Export
