Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX seeks a Research Security Export Control Analyst I to support export control compliance and safeguard research. The role reviews activities, maintains records, and assists faculty and staff in meeting federal and institutional requirements related to national security and international collaborations.

Under minimal supervision, you will conduct screenings, reviews, and TCP administration, and help with training and compliance outreach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; willingness to learn export control regulations (EAR, ITAR, OFAC).

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial screenings of research projects and international engagements.
• Perform export control reviews for shipments, projects, agreements, and personnel.
• Conduct restricted party screening and maintain tracking logs and reports.
• Monitor foreign engagements, travel, and shipment requests for security risk.
• Assist in administering Technology Control Plans (TCPs).
• Support internal training coordination and compliance outreach.
• Maintain internal documentation and compliance software tools.
• Stay updated on emerging issues in research security and export control.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
