Job summary

Ruby Tuesday in Suffolk, VA is seeking an Expo team member to ensure timely food orders are prepared per guest requests and recipes. You will coordinate with service and heart-of-house teams to expedite TueGo/Catering, dining room and bar orders.

Use the Kitchen Display System (KDS) to maintain flow, assure quality, and organize expo station. The role requires friendly guest service, safety compliance, and flexibility for nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• No prior work experience required.
• Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service.
• Ability to understand and comply with proper food handling and serving techniques and with federal, state and local serving regulations.
• Ability to operate a computer, phone and other office equipment.
• Attention to details with good organizational and efficient time management skills.
• Consistent professional attitude and behavior with effective listening and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Kitchen Display System (KDS) to maintain service flow and prep items to spec.
• Ensure high-quality preparation and presentation; keep hot items hot and cold items cold.
• Organize table orders in expo area according to tickets.
• Complete side work and station maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area before, during, and after shifts.
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Manage re-cooks and special-order/allergen requests.
• Expedite service for TueGo, Catering, dining room, and bar areas.
• Support service team to create repeat business and reduce guest complaints.
