Job summary

The Original Pancake House DFW is seeking a Food Runner to help maintain the flow between the kitchen and dining room. You will ensure guests receive meals promptly and accurately, with high standards of presentation.

Ideal candidates are energetic, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a busy restaurant environment. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunity to earn tips in addition to base pay.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to deliver food promptly and accurately to guests by table and position numbers.
• Available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Capable of safely transporting multiple plates and beverages in a single trip.
• Skilled in using and operating restaurant tools and equipment efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, to follow job instructions.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working in areas with variable noise levels and temperature conditions.
• Physically capable of moving up to 50 pounds and standing/walking for an entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food to guests, maintaining high presentation standards.
• Greet guests warmly and with a smile to enhance their dining experience.
• Handle guest issues with sensitivity and patience, aiming for resolution.
• Check each order for special instructions or dietary restrictions before leaving the kitchen.
• Ensure each dish meets restaurant standards for preparation, presentation, and completeness.
• Relay food-related concerns or guest requests to appropriate staff with clear communication.
• Adhere to all service steps and procedures, including managing allergies and special orders.
• Maintain compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Follow organizational policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support team and restaurant operations.
