Job summary

Critical Materials Group is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to act as the gatekeeper of product standards in explosives production. You will build QA/QC systems, perform audits, manage CAPA, issue CoA/CoC, and support NPI with process validation in a highly regulated, safety‑driven environment.

The role requires hands-on QC testing, strict data integrity, and collaboration with production and lab teams to ensure compliant, ready-for-release products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 2–5+ years in QA/QC in regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience with ISO 9001/AS9100 and MIL-STD/AQAP a plus.
• Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and test methods.
• Strong focus on data integrity and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct internal audits of production, laboratory, and storage areas; track CAPA closure.
• Host external/regulatory audits and customer quality surveillance visits.
• Maintain QMS documentation hierarchy and change-control processes.
• Issue certificates of analysis/conformance (CoA/CoC) and data packages for product release.
• Own calibration, preventive maintenance, and gauge R&R programs for inspection equipment.
• Lead or support root-cause analysis for nonconformances and deviations.
• Track quality metrics and report trends to leadership.
• Facilitate Kaizen and continuous-improvement projects.
