Galaxy Technology Hires LLC seeks a QA/QC Specialist for an explosives manufacturing environment in the San Angelo, TX area. The role combines QA system design and hands-on QC testing to ensure products meet strict specifications.

The ideal candidate has a science/engineering degree, 2–5+ years in QA/QC in regulated settings, familiarity with ISO 9001/AS9100, and Lean Six Sigma certification. Background checks will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science/engineering field or equivalent experience.
• 2–5+ years in QA/QC in regulated manufacturing (explosives/munitions preferred).
• Familiarity with ISO 9001/AS9100 and MIL-STD/QMS standards is a plus.
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Yellow/Green/Black Belt) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Audit production, laboratory, and storage areas; close CAPA items.
• Support external/regulatory audits and customer quality surveillance visits.
• Maintain QMS documentation and change-control processes.
• Prepare CoA/CoC and data packs for release and shipment.
• Maintain calibration and gauge R&R programs for inspection equipment.
• Lead root-cause analysis for nonconformances and process deviations.
• Track quality metrics and report trends to leadership.
• Facilitate continuous improvement projects (Lean Six Sigma) and kaizen events.
• Support IQ/OQ/PQ and first-article inspection activities.
• Maintain training records and certification programs for staff.
