Job summary

Day & Zimmermann in Parsons, Kansas is seeking a full-time Explosives Operator to operate and monitor melt systems for the production of ammunition components. The role involves handling kettles of various sizes, maintaining safety and procedural compliance, and ensuring readiness of materials for each pour.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 6 months of production equipment experience, and forklift license preferred.

Qualifications

• High School and/or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months experience operating and monitoring production equipment.
• Forklift license preferred

Responsibilities

• Operates computer interface, loss-in-weight feeder and thermocouple thermometer for melts.
• Activates and monitors Explosive Melt System and ensures explosives ready for pours.
• Adheres to approved standard operating procedures.
• Coordinates pre- and post-system checks and clean-up on all floors.
