Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc. in Vermont is seeking a Blaster Trainee-Construction to assist the Blaster with daily drilling and blasting coordination.

This on-the-job trainee role requires some explosives experience and offers $25/hr and up DOE plus a daily travel stipend. You will learn blasting techniques, machine setup, and safety practices while supporting production schedules and site security across projects.

Qualifications

• Requires at least two years' experience with drills and explosives, or prior military experience in explosive handling.
• Basic blasting problem solving skills.
• Must be able to travel out of town as needed.
• Ability to obtain blasting licenses.
• Able to pass ATF screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Blaster in charge with coordinating daily drilling & blasting activities
• Trains to be proficient in blasting techniques
• Develops understanding of explosives product use and applications
• Maintains the daily blasting production schedule
• Assists Blaster with site security
• Follows company safety policies and procedures
