Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc is seeking a Blaster Trainee (Construction) to assist the Blaster with daily drilling and blasting activities in the field. This on-the-job trainee role requires some explosives experience and provides hands-on supervision training.

Qualifications

• Must have at least two years' experience working with drills and explosives or previous military explosive handling.
• Able to travel as needed.
• Must be able to pass ATF screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Blaster in charge with coordinating daily drilling and blasting activities.
• Train to be proficient in blasting techniques and job-site supervision.
• Develop understanding of proper explosives use and applications.
• Assist with maintaining the daily blasting production schedule and site security.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures.
• Attend company meetings and participate in daily heads-up meetings.
