Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc. is seeking a Blaster Trainee to assist with daily drilling and blasting activities in the field. This on‑the‑job trainee role requires prior explosives experience or military exposure and will train on blasting techniques under supervision.

Candidate must have a High School Diploma and be able to obtain blasting licenses, with travel as needed. Company offers ESOP, 401(k), and comprehensive benefits and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have at least two years' experience with drills and explosives, or military explosive handling.
• Ability to obtain blasting licenses; pass ATF screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Blaster in charge with coordinating daily drilling & blasting activities.
• Trains to be proficient in blasting techniques.
• Develops understanding of explosives product use and various applications.
• Maintains the daily blasting production schedule and site security.
• Follows company safety policies and procedures and works safely.
