Job summary

Noblis and its subsidiaries seek a subject matter expert to support DoD explosive safety managers in safety and compliance for storage, handling, and transport of test explosives. This role provides oversight of operations, coordinates with national and foreign program managers, and supports post-test hazard abatement for complex risks.

The position requires a TS clearance with US citizenship, DoD EOD training, and OSHA certifications; a strong background in DoD explosive safety programs is

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Associate degree with 5 years of relevant experience or HS diploma with 9 years experience.
• Graduate of DoD Joint Service EOD School.
• OSHA Permit-Required Confined Space training and HAZWOPER 40-hour training.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of safety and compliance of explosive operations during test operations.
• Ensure safety of personnel, material, and environmental resources.
• Support planning and coordination of explosives recovery operations for malfunctions.
• Coordinate with national agencies and foreign country program managers.
• Support post-test hazard abatement for hazards from test operations.
• Enter permit-required confined spaces and don up to Level A PPE.
• Coordinate and communicate with test team members on explosive safety issues.
• Serve as Safety Officer assigned to explosive testing work.
