Job summary

K2K9 Solutions is seeking a Multi-Purpose Canine (MPC) Trainer to join the Canine Training Academy outside Southern Pines, NC. The role focuses on hands-on training, obedience, imprinting, and scent work across various environments for patrol and detection canines.

Candidates should have strong knowledge of behavior shaping, dog drives, and conditioning principles, along with the ability to document training and follow guidance from Senior Trainers.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary training for multi-purpose canines.
• Document training requirements and manage training efforts for all dogs assigned.
• Follow training guidance provided by Senior Trainers.
• Participate in weekly meetings to review and evaluate training; identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist in developing assessments of trainers and recommend corrective action when needed.
• Participate in operational and developmental tests and evaluations at various locations.
• Assist in scheduling facilities to conduct training and oversee training of assigned dogs.
