People Technology And Processes is seeking a Lead Canine Trainer in Coronado, CA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in training military working dogs and handlers, ensuring their effective preparation and ongoing training.
You will be responsible for providing recommendations for physical conditioning programs, conducting standardized training, and overseeing the MPC Handler execution of canine training. A minimum of seven years of relevant experience is essential for this role.

Position Title: Lead Canine Trainer
Provide recommendations for MPC and canine puppy physical conditioning program.
Provide recommendations for students and MPC Handler initial and sustainment training and evaluation.
Provide testing and evaluation services for current or emerging puppy, MPC, student, and MPC Team training, equipment, and utilization.
Attend meetings, conferences, and training events, and provide subject matter expert level recommendations to MPC program personnel on the following topics:
Provide canine adult and canine puppy selection recommendations for government supplied canines.
Provide bi‑monthly work and training schedules to the Government.
Coordinate requests for resources (training locations, equipment, personnel) to the government.
Conduct standardized training for all canines.
Perform standardized MPC and canine puppy training:
Provide initial training and sustainment training to all MPC Handler and MPC Teams to perform all NSW MPC Team capabilities.
Minimum of seven years’ experience within the past ten years with the Koninklijke Nederlandse Politiehond Vereniging (KNPV) or Internationale PrüfungsOrdnung (IPO) working dogs sports.
Five years’ management experience within the past seven years in a similar MPC and MPC Handler development programs. This experience shall include oversight of canine trainers as well as student interaction.
