Job summary

Allied Universal® Enhanced Protection Services is hiring an Explosive Detection K9 Handler to partner with a trained K9 for searches at client sites including corporate buildings and loading docks. Previous canine experience is not required as paid training is provided.

Qualified candidates must have at least two years in military, law enforcement, or corrections, and must own a personal vehicle for transporting the K9 partner. Housing arrangements for the K9 are also required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of service in military, law enforcement, or corrections required.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Must have reliable transportation and housing for the K9 partner.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a trained Explosive Detection K9 to conduct searches at client sites.
• Liaise with the client’s security manager, law enforcement, and partners as per post orders.
• Train the Explosive Detection K9 daily and ensure safety and welfare of the dog.
• Adhere to all regulations and use of required technology.
