Job summary

Global K9 Protection Group LLC is seeking a dedicated 3PK9 Explosive Detection K9 Handler to join our security team. The role requires screening operations for explosives with a trained canine, plus duties to maintain housing, welfare and administrative records for the dog and team.

The position is full-time with benefits, and candidates must pass TSA assessments, background checks, and a drug screen. A valid US driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
• Able to pass TSA Security Threat Assessment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license (Real ID) and reliable transportation.
• Able to pass background check and drug screen.
• Must obtain TSA Known Traveler Number (TSA Pre-Check).
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• Proficient reading/writing English.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Demonstrates sound judgment in all duties.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screening operations for explosives and other hazardous materials with a trained Explosive Detection Canine.
• Maintain administrative records for work and training.
• Care for housing, welfare, and wellbeing of assigned canine.
• Maintain routine canine maintenance and welfare records.
