Job summary

The Assistant Director will develop and implement an effective outreach strategy for prospective undergrad and graduate students, applicants, and admitted students within their program portfolio. They will follow up via phone, email, and other platforms to ensure service quality and enrollment counseling.

They serve as the central contact for students in their caseload, supporting inbound calls and participating in open houses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in student enrollment, admissions, and/or sales.
  • Experience in counseling, call campaigns, and small/large group presentations.
  • Ability to work independently; strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide information and guidance on programs, admissions requirements, and enrollment activities to applicants and prospective students.
  • Maintain accurate, timely records of interactions for reporting.
  • Back-up to the Contact Center for inbound inquiries about admissions, advising, and enrollment.
  • Respond promptly to emails; provide coverage for Admissions events and recruit for events within caseload.
  • Coordinate with assigned groups to communicate enrollment information and manage projects with timelines.

Asst Dir - Student Enrollment

About the Opportunity

JOB SUMMARY

The Assistant Director will develop and implement an effectivecontact strategy for prospective undergraduate and graduatestudents, applicants, and newly admitted students within theirassigned program portfolio and progressively move them through theenrollment process. Responsible for conducting follow upcommunication (by way of phone, email, or other digital engagementplatforms) with prospective students to ensure the highest level ofservice and enrollment counseling. They serve as the central pointof contact for students within their assigned caseload. Inaddition, they provide support with inbound calls on an as-neededbasis and participate in in-person and digital open houses andinformation sessions. Student contact, follow-up, and enrollmentprocess conversion that meets and exceeds set goals areexpected.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • Experience in counseling, call campaigns, and presenting tosmall and large groups.

  • Proven ability to work independently, excellent communicationand presentation skills.

  • Skills and knowledge are normally acquired through completionof a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, Master's degreepreferred.

  • Two to four years of experience in student enrollment,non-traditional college admissions, and/or sales.

  • Any experience in counseling, call campaigns, and small andlarge group presentations is a plus.


This position will require a flexible work schedule, including somenights and weekends, and travel will be minimal, but may be required periodically.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES


  1. 1) Provide applicants and prospective students with information andguidance on programs, admissions requirements, applicationdirections, course format options, financial aid, registration,College services and other enrollment activities. Completedesignated outreach to leads generated by marketing and/orrecruitment, applicants, and newly accepted students to meetenrollment goals. In addition, complete prescreening process,conduct timely application reviews, confirm enrollment forstudents.

  2. 2) Maintain accurate and timely record keeping of all interactionwith students that enables the ability to produce accuratereporting.

  3. 3) Provide back-up to Contact Center in-bound line as the firstlevel of contact by answering telephone inquiries from applicants,current and prospective students about our admissions, advising,course formats, registration, financial aid, and other studentsrelated questions.

  4. 4) Provide accurate and timely responses to emails that come intoshared admission inboxes. Provide visitor support coverage forAdmissions as needed. Provide recruitment support for events withinthe scope of assigned caseload and at on-campus admission events.Assist with the training and development of new employees.

  5. 5) Works closely with an assigned constituent group to communicateenrollment-related information. Serves as an advocate of theCollege/Campus constituency in the admissions process. Effectivelymanages any assigned project(s) including setting goals inconsultation with his/her supervisor, developing and managingtimelines, achieving desired results, and producing a final reporton the assigned task.
