Job summary

Coeur Rochester is seeking an Exploration Geologist for its open pit Rochester Silver-Gold Mine, located northeast of Lovelock, Nevada. You will support geologic mapping, logging, and exploration drilling under the guidance of the Senior Exploration Geologist.

The role involves QA/QC, data management, and modeling work across mine and nearby projects, with emphasis on safe, accurate data handling and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geology or equivalent earth sciences degree.
• Minimum 3 years of mining/exploration industry experience. Recent graduate with internship/hands on experience to be considered.
• Experience with geologic mapping, sampling, logging, and geologic interpretation.
• Familiar with database software - acQuire experience preferred.
• Experience with GIS software – ArcGIS experience preferred.
• Familiar with Geologic Modeling software – Vulcan and/or Leapfrog experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support exploration programs – infill and expansion drilling, logging and mapping at project areas.
• Assist with QA/QC protocols, data management and geologic model construction.
• Map mine benches in support of geological modeling
• Maintain exploration geological, drilling, and permitting maps.
• Log Reverse Circulation drill chips or Diamond Drill core and help maintain data in acQuire database.
• Contribute to the planning of the exploration programs and target generation.
• Perform strenuous physical activities and be able to lift multiple 40 lb. samples on a daily basis.
• Perform all work in a safe manner in compliance with Company’s safety and environmental policies.
