Job summary

SpecialtyRx is a Long-Term Care pharmacy seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Roanoke, VA. You will work under supervision to manage floor stock, restock medications, and assist with packing and shipment of prescribed drugs.

Experience with narcotics handling is a plus. We offer competitive hourly pay, consistent schedules including evenings and every other weekend, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed Virginia Pharmacy Technician (required).
• Pharmacy or long-term care experience preferred.
• Data entry experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Reliable with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of a supervisor.
• Maintain floor stock, restocking and removal of expired medications.
• Rotate medication stock to ensure quality control standards.
• Prepack bulk medications prescribed for floor stock.
• Package, fill, and ship medications accurately.
• Maintain pharmacy standards and adhere to all policies and procedures.

• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

• Pharmacy Technician Trainee's must be enrolled in PTCB program to be eligible
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
• Previous data entry experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Reliable and able to execute multiple assigned tasks.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to physically perform light lifting.

Shift:

• 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday and every other weekend
• Available shifts include:
  • 6pm-2:30am
  • 10:00pm-6:30am
