Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Payroll and HRIS Specialist to manage weekly and bi-weekly payroll across multiple states and to maintain HRIS records with strict data integrity. The role supports HR and Finance with audits, reporting, and month-end processes in a senior living environment.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of payroll experience, strong UKG HRIS skills, and a solid grasp of payroll compliance and wage-hour regulations. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in payroll/HRIS is required.
• 3–5 years of payroll processing experience.
• Healthcare or senior living payroll experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with payroll and HRIS software (UKG strongly preferred).
• Solid knowledge of payroll compliance, tax laws and wage-hour rules.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for multiple states and locations.
• Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS with data integrity.
• Ensure accurate timekeeping and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and tax requirements.
• Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Generate reports from the HRIS and support audits, reporting, and month-end processes.
• Assist with benefits administration and wage garnishments as needed.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance to optimize HRIS modules and workflows.
• Stay current with payroll laws and best practices.
