Job summary

Rowe's IGA Supermarkets in Jacksonville seeks a Meat Cutter to ensure quality, freshness, safety and profitability of fresh cut meat products. You will prepare beef, pork and poultry cuts for sale in service cases, following the merchandising plan and standards while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to read and follow instructions, and a commitment to sanitization and efficiency in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to deliver friendly and prompt customer service.
• Ability to read, write, and do simple math.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and problem solve.
• Ability to work well with others and as a team.
• Continually strives to be product minded, customer minded, personnel minded, detailed, consistent and forward focused.

• Prior experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service including greeting customers and answering questions with a positive attitude.
• Cuts and prepares all varieties and cuts of meat while safely operating cutting equipment.
• Moves and return meat to and from coolers/cutting area.
• Maintains high sanitization and presentation standards.
• Assists in other duties as assigned.
• Follow established departmental and store policies and procedures.
• Assists as needed to ensure the success of the store.
