Job summary

Rolls‑Royce in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking an Experimental Assembly and Test Aircraft Engine & Power Plant Mechanic to join our team. You will conduct maintenance, assembly, disassembly, repair, inspection and testing of experimental test articles and production units using hand and specialty tools.

The role requires working around moving machinery, high pressures and temperatures, and may involve noise and elevated platforms. A Powerplant license and FAA credentials are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Powerplant license from FAA accredited is required for eligibility.
• Experience with powerplant systems and basic shop math is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct power generation maintenance actions and related systems inspection.
• Assemble, disassemble, rework, repair and test experimental engine articles and production units.
• Interpret blueprints and drawings; use shop cranes/hoists up to 30 lbs.
• Travel as needed to support field actions.
