Job summary

Missouri Botanical Garden is seeking an Experiential Learning Coordinator to help implement and grow student-centered learning initiatives across Garden sites in St. Louis.

The role mentors teens and young adults, coordinating internships, fellowships, and field experiences while aligning programs with the Garden’s mission. The coordinator collaborates with Education staff to ensure high-quality experiences, supports staff development, and helps assess program impact through participant tracking

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Environmental Education, or related field.
• Experience mentoring or supporting teens or young adults in educational settings.
• Experience in experiential learning, youth development, or environmental education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support development and delivery of experiential learning opportunities for youth across Garden sites.
• Coordinate internships, job shadowing, and career exploration experiences.
• Provide mentorship and support to students and Garden staff working with youth programs.
• Facilitate experiential learning programming across Garden sites, including internships, fellowships, and field experiences.
• Assist with planning, onboarding, and engagement of participants; track participation.
