Job summary

Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana Inc is seeking an Instructional Coordinator for the Louisville area. This part-time, non-exempt role supports Experiential Learning Labs with teachers, students and volunteers to deliver JA BizTown and JA Finance Park simulations.

The coordinator will ensure smooth lab rotations, set-up/cleanup, and effective communication with visiting schools while maintaining high standards of customer service and on-site operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Hours are Monday-Friday from 8-4 pm, based on availability (avg. 15-20 hours per week).
• Proven experience working with school-aged children.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities; be self-motivated and highly organized.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with integrity.
• Ability to work well with others from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Director of Experiential Learning to ensure teachers, students and volunteers receive a quality experience.
• Understand and be well-versed on JA BizTown and JA Finance Park information and procedures; Execute best practices for each Experiential Learning Lab.
• Oversee the Experiential Learning Lab simulation assigned rotation to ensure that all students and volunteers stay on schedule.
• Provide excellent customer service to each school's students, educators, and their volunteers.
• Ensure proper set up and cleanup of all VR Goggles daily.
• Communicate with visiting teachers and volunteers to ensure good customer service; escalate problems to Instructional Manager as needed.
• Troubleshoot basic technology to minimize disruption of simulations.
• Communicate effectively using walkie talkies and coordinate all tasks with the Instructional manager.
• Report successes and challenges with the simulation to educators, students and volunteers.
• Ensure all set-up and end-of-day tasks are completed within the scheduled time allotted.
• Assist and/or lead Volunteer Training.
• Learn and be proficient in all Experiential Learning Lab rotations and transitions.
• All other duties as assigned.
