Job summary

Hollywood Casino St. Louis is seeking an Experienced Wok Cook to join the kitchen team. The role schedules 5:00 pm to 1:30 am and pays $21.00 per hour.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old and have 1–2 years of high-volume food service experience, preferably with Asian cuisine. Strong customer service and kitchen sanitation knowledge are essential. Responsibilities include preparing items to spec, controlling production, and maintaining a clean, safe workstation.

Qualifications

• Applicant must be at least 21 years of age.
• 1–2 years of experience in high-volume food service/preparation preferred (Asian cuisine preferred).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
• Knowledge of kitchen sanitation, operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment required.
• Ability to work any day and any shift, including holidays and weekends.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods; tolerate smoke, bright lights and dust.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food items as directed to ensure uniform and consistent output.
• Cooks hot entrees for Asian dishes to specification and in a timely manner.
• Controls production: cooking methods, times, temperatures; maintains sanitation and storage of food.
• Maintains knowledge of perishables and ensures quality and safety of all items.
• Oversees care, storage, and cleaning of tools and equipment.
• Communicates effectively with team members and kitchen staff.

As an Experienced Wok Cook, you will:

Pay: $21.00 per hour | Shift: 5:00 pm - 1:30 am

• Prepares food items as directed, ensuring each order sent out is uniform and consistent.
• Prepares food, including hot entrees for our Asian dishes, to specification in an accurate and timely manner to provide guests with a quality product.
• Controls food production to include proper cooking methods, cooking time and temperature, ensuring sanitation, handling and storage of prepared food and Prepares leftovers.
• Demonstrates competent product knowledge by correct storing and handling of all perishables, maintaining quality, security, value and integrity.
• Oversees proper care, storage, use and cleaning of all tools and equipment.
• Demonstrates competent product knowledge by correct storing and handling of all perishables, maintaining quality, security, value and integrity.
• Effectively communicates with other team members, including service and kitchen maintenance personnel.
• Maintains assigned station in a clean and sanitary condition in accordance with department service standards and job functions.
