Job summary

National Wire Group in Conroe, TX is seeking an Experienced Machine Operator to set up, maintain and run production equipment, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to safety standards.

The role requires performing quality checks, interpreting drawings, and coordinating with shop personnel to maximize efficiency and product quality. Forklift operation and basic maintenance are part of daily duties, with day shifts from 6 AM to 6 PM.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating manual machines in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Advanced knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on various machines.
• Must be able to operate a forklift and lifting devices for movement of parts.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Must be able to communicate in English (written and oral).
• Must be adaptable to changing work environment and handle delays or unexpected events.
• Must possess basic math skills for material fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines such as MEP and Jager under supervision to produce quality parts.
• Set speeds, inspect mesh quality and ensure conformance to requirements.
• Interpret drawings, manuals, specs to determine dimensions and setup requirements.
• Detect malfunctions and adjust controls to maintain production quality; report issues.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and perform basic preventative maintenance.
• Assist in training other employees and support cost-reduction projects.
