Job summary

Sumiden Wire Products Corporation is seeking dependable Machine Operators for the Dayton, TX plant to safely operate production equipment and support strand production. You will read micrometers, verify strand dimensions, and perform QC tests while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow SOPs, and capability to work with overhead cranes and forklifts in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience in drawing, rewinding and/or stranding preferred but not required.
• Licensed or ability to be licensed to operate forklift equipment.
• Basic math and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow SOPs and safety training requirements.
• Operate production equipment safely and efficiently to meet quality and productivity standards.
• Read micrometer, measure strand and verify diameter and pitch; perform QC tests.
• Repair wire breaks and swap take ups as needed.
• Load, thread and thread through rollers using overhead crane during changes.
