BW Papersystems is seeking an experienced welder/fabricator to join our shop team in Wisconsin. The role requires interpreting blueprints, setting up MIG/TIG welds, and performing grinding, cutting, and painting as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Typically 2–4 years of experience in industrial welding or fabrication.
• Ability to understand and interpret basic blueprints, specifications, and prints.
• Safety-focused with the ability to follow procedures.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret moderately complex drawings, route sheets, specifications and instructions to determine methods and techniques to be applied.
• Set up and operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG, and flame cutting); adjust parameters and select consumables.
• Perform moderately complex saw operations and painting as required.
• Measure dimensions using micrometers and calipers to ensure tolerances.
• Inspect finished units for defects and conformance to specs; document results.
• Detect defective material or issues and report with details for corrective action.
• Complete quality and production documentation as required.
• Participate in team meetings to resolve cost, quality, or production problems; follow engineering change requests.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
